'Love or Poison'

This piece is heavily inspired by victorian mourning and poison rings. Its adorned by antique jewels, aged gold leaf, and the ever powerful sacred heartWhilst these rings were beautiful and opulent, they carried a macabre purpose. Mourning rings were often worn in memory of someone loved who had died, usually encasing a memento, such as a lock of hair or a picture. Poison rings however, were far more sinister. They would contain cyanide, arsenic or a poison of their choice that could easily be tipped into someones champagne glass. So what will you keep in this table…..love or poison?
This is a purposely aged piece, imperfections are added intentionally.
